Coal was on the high energy lamb and has done really well on it... think its got more meaty calorie stuff in it hence why recommended for larger breeds. see how he goes on that and up the portion sizes.
good luck and hope he puts on a bit of weight 
the only thing with upping the portion sizes he it may start going right thru him and he'll start pooping for england! if this happens, change brands. don't envy you as it must be a worry but if he seems fine and he wants to eat, think thats half the battle
