We have to advise all owners of Labs to be vigialant in the Bucks area. Over the last few days 3 labs have been stolen from cars ( Rye car park, High Wycome )

5 Labs so far in total are missing in just one week. 2 Black, 1 Yellow, 2 Chocs.....

I have just been advised from an LF member that they were followed home by 2 men. Rolling Eyes

Please members..this is silly season...when Labs ( top price paid ) are stolen for their financial gain. 'Fairs ' are iminent...all Labs are at risk.
They have no regard for the animals or their welfare whatsoever !
We are aware of a site that is housing many dogs...and they are out looking for more not only in this area but Nationwide......

Don't leave your pup in the garden, in the car, outside a shop...only in a safe place. Don't trust anyone especilly a stranger on the street asking questions about your pup.

Also....please.....be aware this site is monitored by thieves, quite possibly the very same who are doing this.......so don't post any info that puts you/ your identity/ your pup at risk
Pm or email 3p or myself for any help or info.....but be vigilant...please...your pups needs you to protect them

OMG, I live about 8 miles from there and do sometimes take the dogs there.

I know there is a LF member that does walk her dogs there too, as we were going to have a mini GT there.

Thanks for the warning.

Look out for yourselves, all.

I do sometimes wonder if we should all be much more careful how much information about ourselves and our labs that we publish on the open forums, especially with these people possibly lurking on the site as Rhoni has mentioned.

Don't give too exacting details about where you walk and when, or even about where you live. Be vague-ish. If someone else needs your details for a genuine reason then make sure they are put on the PM system rather than the open forums, as it will be safer. Even then, work on a "need to know" basis only.

Those are just my thoughts. The whole big brother is watching you scenario is scary, especially when it is used by the wrong sorts.

Helen.

Well said Helen! I think it is easy to forget when posting on here that it is an "open" forum and therefore open to abuse from not so friendly peeps Confused

Be careful everyone.

Made me angry the other day to see a young yellow lab puppy - I would say about 5 months old - tied up outside Tescos Mad

I am forever seeing dogs of all sorts of breeds tyed up outside my local Asda, makes you wonder people want to risk the safety of their dogs.

I, actually dont like leaving my dogs in the car when at the super market unattended. So now I make sure the crate is well covered so that any would-be-thieves cant see in. I am thinking of changing our car to one that has the tinted glass in it.

Thanks for the warning. We're not far from there!
It makes me mad when i see pups tied up outside shops Mad
Once when me and my mum went to Tescos, just as we pulled up a man was tying his 2 dogs outside, i said i was staying in the car until the man had returned. I just sat and watched these dogs ready to pounce on any thieves for about 10 - 15 mins until the man returned. I didn't say anything but should have done! Rolling Eyes
