Last note - i sold your boys Sire very short indeed... having checked he is infact FT CH Millbuies Magnum of Drakeshead - so is a Field Trial Champion. A very hard fought title to gain so forgive me for leaving it off. I hate seeing dogs with titles quoted without them having sweated blood to gain the thing in the first place, and theres me doing it!
Best!

Please, if I didn't want to reply I wouldn't and my life is usually 100 miles an hour but have had a VERY quiet weekend for once!
Yes a Field Trial Champion or FT CH is a very high honour to achieve indeed for any dog, even a dog as well bred as that particular dog. So your puppy has very good blood behind him from that half of his pedigree as regards proven competetive working ability.

I lost my beloved Bruno (working class sheep dog) on the Monday which was also my daughters birthday. I was so depressed. OH had only just gone back to work after 6 months unemployment due to redundancy (hadn't even bought home first months salary) and i went and blew our last cash on a puppy on the Thursday! Irresponsible i know!
We knew the breeder as she is the daughter of the owner of the boarding kennels we used for Bruno.
Shadow is the best thing that has happened to our family in a long time! This news just makes him even more special! I cant wait to get the papers back from the Kennel Club, so that i can see if there are any other nice surprises in his bloodline.
Thanks Di, you have made me feel much better. I have been stuck in the house all weekend with a stinking cold and feeling quite miserable.
I think a special dinner treat is in order for my boy tonight!

....Andi, loved your post and without being too personal, Mate, I know JUST what you mean. Its not been a great 6 months for us here. Amongst other things, as Simply Red famously said, 'Money's too Tight to Mention...' We lost a dog on new Years Day and decided life was too short (to drink bad wine or worry about overdrafts ) so bought in another pup a few days ago by one of our stud dogs and she is a gem, settling beautifully and is the most confident sweet endearing girl you could meet and has cheered us up enormously!
Take care and enjoy your lovely boy.
