have a search around for threads on seasons (put the word season in the search bit at the top)

Ruby was NOT typical and had a very short season so I wont go into her dates but 'usually' the timing is 21-28 days that the season lasts for. Some bleed right up to 28 days some dont - either way the best choice is to assume its 28 days and keep her in Wink

di wrote it further towards the beginning of this thread on how long seasons last

Quote:
She is in season....

So she is day one or two.... you can lead walk her avoiding all other dogs until about day 7. From here on in for 14 days or so she must stay home or you risk unwelcome attention and definately unwelcome puppies Then for a week or so tioll day 21 or possibly further lead walk her avoiding other dogs again, then resume as normal but knowe she may be given more attention than usual by males but they cannot make her pregnant even if they do hassle her and even mount her.

There are lots of threads on seasons in the Puppy and Health sections to have a glance at!

The important thing to remember ius that after 7 - 10 days when the blood stops, that is when she is MOST SUSEPTABLE to mating, her season absolutely has not ended and if she were an older dog this would be when you might take to her stud dog.... she is only about half way through her season at this point.

Best!
