The only toys my dogs can have without destroying in 3 mins flat are Kongs and similar type material toys.
I want to buy them some more Kongs but have only ever used the black ones which are supposed to me the strongest (i think), does anyone use the red ones, are these still suitable for labs that will destroy any other toy ?
thanks

Boo has always had a red one, number one got lost last month, but it was a year old and probably would have lasted her forever. She is a real powerful chewer too. I bought a new one, but got a bigger size by mistake and its very heavy compared to the other, she doesnt play with it so much (Too much of a gob full for her)

I have red, black and water Kongs, which I had for years for my hairies. CD loves the black one and only give lip service to the others. However, think the red ones are just as strong so just depends which you fancy buying

There seems to be such a huge range of Kongs these days. I believe the multicoloured ones are only for puppies.
I have found the red ones a suitable size and strong enough for our lab and GSD. The black one, which is the toughest I believe is too big for even our GSD to play with. It's great for stuffing and freezing with low fat Philly though.
A friend sent a bone shaped Kong. It can take a treats the size of Markies. It didn't last 5 mins. We found little triangles of rubber all over the floor.
Lea, (Nutella-de-ville), mentioned buying Kongs on-line. Hopefully she will see this and give the details again. I think she said they are as cheap as £1.
Have you tried dog proof balls? (No comments please.) They are really robust but hurt if you get smacked by one, LOL.

Just thought I'd mention, I bought a couple of the cheap Kongs.
Think they lasted 2 minutes They're nowhere near tough enough

Ruby has a red Large Kong and its perfect size - she snt a chewr though. I have 4 of the cheapy Kongs from here www.plutospets.co.uk and they are very flimsy and I wouldnt leave Ruby alone withone but they are good for supervised use
