we have the red one Tammy and also a couple of blue ones from plutos pets,there much cheaper and not too bad at all,although I wouldn't bother with the multi coloured ones from there cause there too soft,might be ok for charlie though Wink
I bought maxi a super chewer nyla bone last week and hes loving that Very Happy

we have red ones for coal (and his large puppy one). the cheaper ones are ok for stuffing and freezing but then we take them away from him as they are much thinner and he can squish them quite easily.

Personally i don't think theres any difference between the red and black. I would say the large red Kong is fine the X Large black Kong is huge i would say too big for most dogs to have any fun with.

Toby is a SERIOUs power chewer....he destorys both red and black Kong in the Large size. Shocked It has cost me a small fortune in the past few months! He is fine with XL red and black though...This is what happened to the last Large black Kong...

bailey has the big black Kong and is fine with it. he loves it, to the point if its empty he puts it in ur lap for a refill lol

Abbey has a black Kong and shes had it since she was 8 months old.

Before that she had a red Kong and chewed the top off it Rolling Eyes

I wish they did some of the bone shape Kongs etc in the black as i just know the red one wouldnt last 2 mins Evil or Very Mad

hilary - yes there are 'fake' Kongs as such... they tend to be same shape/idea but the rubber is much thinner and therefore only really useful for stuffing not for normal play etc. they are a lot more flexible due to being thin.
