ohhh i was just thinking.... you said a nurse looked Jess over and said something was wrong with her left hip but are nurses qualified enough to make diagnoses like that?? Just curious really, i thought the vets did all that and nurses were there to assist and do the minor things

No you're right Lacey, nurses are not trained to make diagnoses of any kind, you really need to speak to the vet

Oh Georgia, try not to worry till you know for sure whether there is anything to worry about... Umm! I know that sounds good coming from me of all people!!! but today I feel so much more positive, as will you tomorrow. The more I thought about it, the more I thought what a good thing it is to have done, as at least they will be looking at all their joints.. and if something shows it will be before it gets really bad and if it is anything it can be put right I'm sure.. as so many on here know from experience. Did they start Jess on any medication?? When are you getting it done?? I too rang today to see if it could be done with sedation and was told the same as you that they need a GA
please dont blame yourself Georgia, you haven't done anything wrong.

Sorry I meant that Jade is a vet. Jess is on a very strict diet as of last night and I will be keeping a diary of everything that passes her lips. Hoping its just the excess weight as she had the same examination a fewmonths ago and all was fine. I worry over the slightest thing with Jess but she is my baby and just writing this my eyes well up. Please send her losing weight vibes please xxxx
