Jenni .. thank you thank you thank you Very Happy

Had a brilliant walk today. From the word go was determined to give it 100% and it really paid off. Such an improvement I am over the moon.

I know it is early days yet but I can now see a light at the end of the tunnel and I am more inspired than ever to keep working on getting it right Wink

It is such a pleasure when she walks nicely to heel and is not trying to yank my arm out of my socket Rolling Eyes
THANK YOU

Aw Jilly Very Happy I'm so, so glad you had such a good walk today - way to go Rolo you little star!!!

It's a brilliant feeling when you finally get a breakthrough with the lead training - Boomer has had a good couple of walks today, but we're far from there yet.

Keep us updated with how you're getting on...

Thank you thank you thank you Jenni. I'd just like to echo what everyone else has said.An inspiration. You replied to my post last night saying I wasn't a bad mum, I had honestly started to believe that I was, but now I feel determined enough to succeed. I WILL make this happen, I always admire folk that have the lead thing off to a 't', and I'm absolutely going to join this club too.

I only started posting on here fairly recently, and would so much like to come to a GT, but so far I'm reluctant to plan cos I don't want to look like an ass. You've given me the inspiration I need to stick with it. Thank you. x

Annie - you'll be fine, just relax and believe in yourself and your pup.

Boomer is far from trained - she still yanks at my arm if there's a dog/cat/interesting looking bit of litter on the pavement, and we're still not getting far from home as we have to go backwards and forwards, but she is beginning to understand what I want her to do, and is also enjoying learning. Wouldn't it just be easier if all our pups spoke fluent English LOL

As for a GT - you definatley WON'T be the only person there getting dragged around. I'm sure even some of the better trained dogs get overexcited and pull when there's so many labby friends to play with!

Let us know how your lead training goes... feel free to PM me if you've had a cr*ppy day, or better still an amazing day! Very Happy
