Have just caught up with this thread. Poor Elsa, I hope she is more comfortable today. The fluid should be reabsorbed by her body and is quite normal after the op. If it gets too much and seems to be slow going down, it can be relieved by the Vet drawing it out with a syringe, so if she seems in too much discomfort seek advice.

I totally support your decision to have the surgery, I think that some of her distress was prorbaly the aftereffetcs of the aneasthetic. Give her anothercouple of days and she will bounce right back. You have given her a better quality of life and she, I am sure, thanks you for it.

Lots of healing vibes !!!!!!

Susana

Hope you don't mind Lesley, but I've had a go at getting Elsa's pic up. It looks horrendous - hopefully she'll recover soon.

Still sending those vibes ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thankyou Jenni and Denise for putting the pics up. You can see now why I feel so upset at putting her through this. Having said that I'm feeling much better now as Elsa is doing really well. After me preparing my blow up bed in the lounge last night to sleep with her she promtly got up and went upstairs and got into her bed up there Rolling Eyes Laughing
