I would like to join these clubs if it is at all possible. I am looking for folk who would be prepared to propose and second me - god, that sounds aweful. Also any hints for completing the application forms (inside info would be good too). Blue's breeder is happy to do so if required.

I have the KSSLRC sewn up (eh Di? Wink )

Nic, if I hadn't let my mmbership lapse I would of course. the membership form is very straightforward, no hidden info needed - grin! I would get your TW guys to Propose and second you.

I was worried about this propose and second thing - whether it was a genuine propose and second (if you get my drift) or just a formality? I know someone who was actually refused membership of one club when proposed and seconded by some of the most well knows labbie people in existence!! Shocked Shocked

.....put the Sancerre down, girl, and back away slowly.....

Wink Wink

The Propose and Second 'thing' is important, but more so if you apply to a club that both RUNS field trial snad you want to recieve field trial information. The Proposer and Seconder thing was developed mostly, not as a snob thing, but to stop field trial venues and dates getting into the hands of anti's. They had a spell of joining clubs to get FT info to consider going and disturbing shooting on field trials in the name of 'justice for birds!'.

So its amazing someone you know was refused, maybe her form was incorrectly filled in elsewhere? Dunno, but I've never seen someone proposed and seconded by people who are paid up, recognised club members refused.

It's brilliant isn't it? The people here who are near strangers are so kind. All info and advice given voluntarily, encouragement and support given with the nicest of intentions....I don't know where I'd be without them Very Happy

Lucy, WHY are you now Crumble my good woman? Do you work for the SAS? If you tell me will you have to kill me? Do you need to change your identity on a regular basis to keep the Russian agents from finding you?

Loon.

In which case I am thinking of changing my name to 'Bottle of decent Sav Blanc on a Friday night'... if we are talking favorites. Catchy.

.... all these name changes, I only know people by their dogs! Then you change your photos too! Sigh! All at sea...
