We're with Direct Line but they deal with my vet direct. We've had to claim quite alot for my cat and a couple of times for Harvey.

Im not sure how long they took to pay my vets sorry, but they've not mentioned they take a long time to pay Sad

Hope you receive it soon!

Before they even look at it??? thats atrocious! thats 3 months! I think that I would ring them back, ask to speak to a manager and ask what the delay is, if you get no joy there, I would seriously consider ending the insurance policy and getting any outstanding money refunded (after they have paid your claim obviously)

Hi thanks they just apologise and say they have alot of claims to get through. unfortunatly Bailey may need another op for the same condition when he is 7 months so i cannot cancel my policy as no other company would insure him for this then. i will give them another ring and let you know how i get on Thanks Sarah

That is so annoying. We had to wait around 2 months for our first claim with Tesco. Keep calling to see how your claim is progressing. We kept pestering and I'm sure ours would still be in the processing pile if we hadn't kept on to them. I think it's appaling for them to behave like this. They're quick enough to take our money and if the premiums are not kept up, they would cancel the policy. GRRRRRRRRR.

Yes, I think you need to stick with them until the next surgery is done. Have a claim form ready to send off. We copied a blank one.

Hi Sarah

so sorry to here that Bailey (so young) has already had surgery Sad

I've been with pet plan through mbna credit card for 15 years and they've paid up every time, usually within a few days of the claim. Stay with your ins comp for now and then change to another that guarantees payouts quickly.

Keep smiling Smile
