Hey all

I've been reading that some labs moult all year round. Oh my God!!!! Lily has shed alot of hair since I've had her from 12 weeks, she's now 17 months and it's driving me absolutely crazy. I didn't think it was possible for there to be so much. I have wood floors throughout so I guess that makes it worse as it shows up more but I can't believe how much there is and I'm constantly clearing it up.

She isn't going bald so that's a good thing but does it ever ease up? I've just got her used to her brush (she used to hate it) and am grooming her quite frequently. She's obviously quite oblivious to it as she waits until I'm asleep at night and then sneaks up onto the sofa, which is black, and sneaks off again before I get up, leaving alot of evidence behind her lol. Any tips anyone? Buy a yellow lab coloured carpet maybe????

Zoe

Yep and a yellow lab coloured sofa to match. Wink Laughing

I found the best thing to get most hair out of the dog is a Mikki shedding blade....it certainly helps with my three...but obviously still doesn't solve the problem of having 3 moulting dogs in the house. Wink

Lol thanks!! Guess I was just a bit shocked as to how much there is. Didn't really research labs before I got her because she was kind of sprung on me on a cold November night, skinny and homeless Crying or Very sad Also kept thinking "this will stop soon". Oh how wrong I was.

Will take all suggestions into consideration and definitely try the blade to comb her and maybe save up to buy EVERYTHING in lily colour Laughing

Cheers, Zoe

We got cream carpets when we just had Doobs (him being yellow and all) and it was great. Plan backfired a bit when we later adopted Gracie then Millie. My carpet slowly changes colour during the day - can't win! Laughing

Hahaha. I know what you mean. When we applied to Lab Rescue, I stated no colour preference. I did not want to appear too fussy. When we had our home visit I said that whilst I would not say no to homing a black lab, I would be so pleased to have a yellow one to match the beige carpet, LOL. We were lucky with Zoe.

Dyson.............eat your heart out. THE best thing we have ever, EVER bought is a Roomba. It's a robotic vacuum. Anyone wanting details and I'll sing it's praises until the cows come home.
