have to say it was the vetinary nurse not the vet. the vet is lovely and not once commented on his weight. which is why we didnt make a fuss when we were told. just didnt say anything and walked away knowing full well we would continue feeding him as we do. he has been on adult food since 4 months old and is doing just fine (well to our untrained eye)
the vet said bailey was ok currently but that if we continued to feed him on adult food and not switch back to puppy until he was a year old he would be overweight in 6 months time. she said he should really be on puppy food until a year old then on adult light food. she told us to book hi in for a weight check in 6 months time. needless to say we have kept him on adult food.
Bailey has someone elses clothes too. He has a fair bit of spare skin still. He is a very active dog, and you can see his waist, so i dont think hes overweight, just going to be big
Having met Bailey at at GT I would say he is perfect, vets don't have a scooby sometimes as to waht they are talking about all they want is that hopefully you will buy the food they recommend so that they gain massive commision from it.
Bailey is no way overweight Wendy
John (jayc) at the same GT asked me if I thought Kelly was overweight as he had been told she was, and she wasn't either she was perfect too could feel her ribs without digging pounds of flesh
Ahh right yeah some vet nurses don't have a clue either.
When Maj was spay I said she was fed raw and the poor lass looked at me blankly and said does she get complete food as well, so I had to explain raw to her.
