i brought coal a gentle leader today after an awful trip into town. he pulled left right and centre, yanking all the time and was paying no attention to me whatsoever even with lovely treats in my hand (very unusual!)
so off i went to buy the gentle leader. came back, kept putting it on for short sessions and once it was on Evil or Very Mad .... he was fine with it. only occassionally trying to paw it off. so off we went for a walk and WOW WOW WOW Very Happy Very Happy
it was amazing, if he tried to pull ahead, he'd stop and then walk to heel again. sat at the roads etc. only tried round village but off to town again later this week so will see how he goes there. very impressed and prancing on back legs at people he meets! Smile

Ive tried the Halti with Chunk, and he constantly slides along the floor or hooks it with his foot and somehow gets it off, all without me noticing, so while I think we are walking along nicely, he is chomping his way through it and laughing at me!!!.. I think we have gone through 3 so far...(maybe im just not doing it right?!?!?) or maybe I should try the gentle leader instead. Confused

the gentle leader might be better as you clip the nose band to a certain tightness so it won't loosen when lead slack so hence can't get the nose band off......

does that make any sense???

Shocked

Hi,can i just ask if with the gentle leader is easy to take on and off if you are out and want to let them off for while,im worried that i would be fumbling for too long and loose their attention.
