hi folks
i've had a halti for samson now for the last couple of months and its too large around his muzzle.
when he pulls its rubbing his right eye as its too big and i thought he might grow into it but i think it will be a while yet before he does and im not sure wether he will ever fill it.
its a size 3 bought from furbabies.
would a smaller size fit better around his muzzle but still fit around his head?

thanks

Sorry Phil, never had a halti. I tried the canny collar for Maggs but she spent most of her time rubbing her face along the ground so I gave up. I then moved on to an easy walk harness which suited her much better. I didn't like the ridge that the canny collar left on her nose either! too soft me.

Hopefully someone that is familiar with the haltis can answer your question.

Bess has had a halti size 3 since she was 14mnths old, she is now almost 2 and it still fits. My one is adjustable. Is there a pet shop or local vet, that sells haltis, to you that you can take Samson into and ask them to advice you on sizing or try some on for size?
Other than that, I dont know what to suggest.

Abbey has had a size 2 since she was 5 months old and it still fits her now at 16 months old.
I bought a size 3 by mistake when i was replacing one that i lost Rolling Eyes but it was huge on her !

Have you tried a Dogmatic headcollar? They're made in more sizes to suit different breeds and don't get up into the dog's eyes like a Halti. Bit more expensive, but the leather ones are rather smart. They have a website - just Google Dogmatic.
