I do very much understand all you have said and will try and gain from this.
We havent been out yet for walkies as Rosie gets her 2nd vacs till this sat and up to now cant find a single training class in my area , so this is something i will ask the vet.
No pubs or shops here allow dogs not even my daughters school which she is upset with as wants to let her friends see rosie!
Im not going to rush her to do anything but take things slowly.
If you are worried about behavioural aspects of your dog or anything like that, or have a particular problem with training that you are getting frustrated with (i.e. won't walk well on a lead, lunges, barks, growls etc.) then some 1 -1 training can be a good idea without the distractions of a class.
They can be costly though, so you wouldn't want to do it all the time. I paid for two sessions of £25 each for Charlie early last year, but mostly we now just go to the weekly class for £3.50 a shot, which is better for socialisation.
Lea, unless you have a specific issue that is realoly worrying you, to be frank, one to one work is not necessary and expensive (as mentioned). Also you only have a baby in the scheme of things, socialisation is far more what classes are about at the moment than training on specific issues.
There are classes, literally everywhere. Ring two or three vets surgeries including your own and chances are they will have a notice on their board about some.

Ok sorry I forgot you had this issue with barking and growling at strangers. One to one work on this would be far less effective than the socialisation and mixing with lots of people that a class with 5, 10 or more other dogs would bring. Infact I'd say your pup is ideal to go along and WATCH with you for a couple of weeks and then if her tension reaches a level where you fancy walking out for a few minutes then you can.
USE them Go and use all those bodies and dogs to desensitise your pup, one to one is not really the way to go with your concern you need extra super duper socialising right now. Have you tried what I suggested in my long post in the thread?
