I have added a mod to LF Forums which you may have seen on other forums which basically shows a small popup type window next to your mouse cursor when you hover over the title of a thread summarises the first post in the thread
This saves you having to dive into the thread to find its of no interest 
This only works on the main forum sections pages and not the front page of the site block.

Great idea, can i suggest something ?
When the summary comes up because its over the top of the other writing its very hard to read .
is it possible to put the summary in a box with its own background ?
Sorry please ignore me if you think im out of order !!!
