I'm not sure I'd like a Jan 01 birthday, I'd spend my birthday hungover every year! Then again, at least you are guaranteed a public holiday for your birthday every year, so I guess it all evens out!

I have Think Dog too - although you do have to take it with a pinch of salt though as many of his theories are outdated now and even he began to understand this too, just before he died. Still a good read though and easy to understand.
