Just a thought LOL ... food allergies can play a big part with ear problems. Some preservatives and addatives in dog food can upset the balance.

I have worked a little bit in the past with deaf dogs so I know the basics for training with hand signals already- that helps.
I do give him plain yogurt. One of my boxers has severe food allergies after having some cancer removed and his immune system started to shut down. All of my dogs eat a mix of Natures Balance Duck and Potato and Nutro Natural Choice Lamb and Rice for a kibble. 3 days a week they get raw (raw elk or antelope with fresh fruits and veggies). They get 1 tablespoon plain yogurt daily and kelp. I also always put apple cider vinegar in their water dish.
