What can we all do to help?

I'm sure all our members would like to help, and it must be an enormous task in finding George... what ways are you tring to find him?

If you let us know what we can do to help, we will all be really happy to do so.

Stay positive ok....

Big hug to you..

Hi Caroline,

Now I feel awful too ! Crying or Very sad
I am so sorry.........................as you said there were no dates on there and if there had been I wouldn't of had to put you through last night and this morning ....gulp Sad
...........but onward and upward is the only way.

What's needed is National coverage............as we are not sure what George's location is.........bit like crimewatch, so it gets to everyone and might jog memories or spot travelers with a black lab!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Idea

In the meantime chin up best you can ........
Big hug Wink

Can I make a suggestion

How about (perhaps Julie could help here with her expert writing tallents) if we put a document together ie Press Release, include the poster etc and just mail it nationally (UK) to as many news channels as possible an animal orientated tv programmes - even the likes of Crime Watch. It is just a thought and can't do any harm. I certainly don't mind helping put together a list of email addresses for the media and mailing it all off and its easy enough to set up a separate email address just for this reason.
Could possibly do with some help of thinking of relevant TV programmes though and their email addresses.

What are your thoughts?

Sam

Great Rhoni but we need to blanket/flood the media to make it work. Poor George could be anywhere in the UK by now

Oh for sure...........but if sky take it on other nationals should follow and that in turn may even prompt a paper or two..

I totally agree with mailing all and everyone, media, vets ALL rescues, campsite etc aswell, maybe with enough members on LB it would be possible to ' conscript members in there own are to flood it, and those ares not accounted for we could do....

I got spare printer ink and a few reams of paper, and clearly way to much time on my hands, the hours I spend on here Wink

Happy to help

You don't need printer in or paper - emails are great Wink

Lets see what the others say and if we are all agreeded then we can form a plan of action.

Hopefully Julie will read this and give her thoughts and maybe a new sticky is required incase some don't regularly pop on this thread, with ' anyone willing to help' type plot ! Wink

Hi there

I work at SKY and I was thinking about SKY News and they don't really cover stories like this.

But I was just talking with my colleagues and on a National level if you want to make an impact, the relevent programmes I would suggest are GMTV and This Morning. They are more than likely to cover a story like this.

Also, with magazines I think that we could get in touch with Take a Break - they would cover this story I'm sure and they often pay for the articles which could go towards a reward or something.

http://www.gm.tv/index.cfm?articleid=558 - If you go to this then you can contact GMTV and hopefully the will get in touch. It has a phone number or you can do it via the internet.

The THIS MORNING website will not load at the min but it's worth taking a look.
