Big oops!

Have you tried looking on ebay clair - i remember reading that a few got their crates at good prices on there?

All rivalry aside, hope you get it sorted ok. Did your other half so its a crate or HE goes, or have I read it wrong?! Good luck anyway.

hi lynne Smile

yes we know lartons well as we get ther dog food from there..

will be going there aswell as carr farm and probably others if we cant find the right size Sad i really dont like these crates but its either crate her or loose her Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad and that i dont want to do...

we have found one online for £57.59 size is 43" x 38" x 31" so at least we have something to go on hoping this size is ok for her..but trouble is we dont know when deleivery will be Sad

so tomorrow all including rosze will be crate hunting Sad

any advice on how to introduce her to this and what we will expect???
i feel really horrible at what she has done(we have NOT punished her) ... we have labs as you know but never have we had one like rosze its very new on how destructive she is when we are not there i wouldnt mind if we left her for long periods of time but this was 1 hour if a bit more and everything was chewed SadSad

Sasha was very destructive as a puppy. You can buy products to spray on your furniture so to put them off chewing, and try pepper/chilli powder in areas if you can.

Boredom sets in very quickly with dogs, be it unattended for an hour or 10. Sasha's chewing and wallpaper extravaganza only really stopped when we moved house. Never had a problem since Smile

Crates are normally very well priced on ebay. We looked for one after sashys last op as we really did think we needed one to keep her still. But decided against it as it would really have broken her spirit and I couldnt stand the thought of that. Just something you need to consider maybe.

Good luck

Hi Clair

I'm so sorry to hear you've had these problems today and I hope that you find your ideal crate soon.

I can't offer much advice on them as Smudge has never had one. What we have been able to do though is to confine him to the kitchen by using a stair gate in the doorway whilst we are out, though I guess with the other doggies in your household, this will probably not be a possibility.

Having said that though, Smudge has done some damage in the kitchen to the carpet tiles, skirting boards etc but thankfully we do not have anything in there which is not easily replaceable.

I know what you mean about toys - believe me, it doesn't seem to matter how many you leave them with (our floors are scattered with them!), they never seem to like them quite as much as your prized possessions!

Good luck and keep us 'posted'!

All the best,
Nicola.
