Oh, Jules, you're such a great concerned dog owner you couldn't produce a disaster dog if you tried!
I can't really add much, except to re-iterate some of what has already been said. Asha has always been very noise sensitive, and various things have helped her - jolly-hockey-sticks, a cuddle and some gentle encouragement, no reaction at all, actively creating stress situations for her is a controlled way, etc.
From a puppy that used to jump when the door closed quietly, she will now happily watch MOH using his pneumatic drill and chase the bits of rock as they come flying out in all directions - a great game Still hates the hoover though, but will now walk past it in the hall without skulking and gets better every day.
I'm sorry you have deadlines - maybe you could try only introducing her to a few things, to help her learn that they're not that scary, and so equip her for coping with other new things later? Is that allowed?

Thanks Folks...it does all help to know I'm not the only one with a scaredy cat.
And Sonia, Yes she does remind me of Becs "Princess"....in more ways than just the colour.
