The weather is just about as awful as it could get - wet, windy and oh so muddy. So I thought, why not? I took all three doggies out for a walk!!!!! I bundled them all in my car and off we went. And do you know what? They were brill!!!!!!!!! To get to the main field, Doobs and Millie had haltis on as they were ever so excited (esp. Millie who usually never gets to go out with the other two). I let them all off and they had such a great time! We all got absolutely filthy and soaking wet, but we had such great fun! I made sure I was more exciting than other dogs and it really paid off! I am soooooo proud of them for behaving as it wasn't long ago I was asking you guys if it gets easier.
On the way home, I put all their leads on - no haltis - and there was me walking three dogs!!! And no being pulled over - yippee!!!!
Don't know if I would do it all the time, but it proved I can do it AND they can behave nicely. Had quite a few comments from other dog owners how well behaved they were too and what a great job I was doing at keeping them together!
It does Jules - I have been working extra hard with Millie, as you know, not only with her excitement over dogs, but getting her focused on me too. Her recall is fab, as well as the other two. (roast chicken left over from Sunday Roast helps too! )
Well done to you and your 3. My little s*d has just let me down big time. He's been so good lately but we were just coming back from a good long walk when he picked up the scent of something and roared off through the fence into the field.
I called and whistled myself blue in the face and he took not a blind bit of notice, until HE decided to respond. Then, would you believe it, he expected a treat
