yep,maxi chews all his beds too and chewed through 3 of leos before we crated him he now has a plastic bed with vet bedding and just has vet bedding in his crate of a quilt. I would just put cheap blankets in the crate or vet bedding as they like to stretch out anyway

I would definitely recommend vet bed too. I got a couple off eBay and cut them to fit the crate. Indy seems to love it and has never tried to chew it at all. To make it a bit more luxurious for him I also put a nice fleece blanket in that he snuggles up to. They are a dream to wash and dry as well.
