2-12-06 Our Honey ( very special old lab girl ) who was so loved and cared for by Rosemary lost her fight to live after complications this week, here is what Rosmary wrote.....Please light a candle tonight for Honey.

She had to be put to sleep at 11 pm last night.

Honey became obviously poorly in the afternoon. My vets puled out all their stops and got her an appointment to be seen by a top heart specialist last night. Georgina and Diane dropped everything and rushed her up to Gloucester.

The specialist, Mark, took huge care to examine her and, tragically, discovered she had several problems, all inoperable, including a leaking heart valve and a shadow in the centre of her heart that looked like a cancer.

We all decided, on his serious advice, it would be kinder to put her to sleep as she was starting to really suffer.

She wagged and smiled right to the very end.

It was a true pleasure and privilge to have known Honey. She was the bestest, sweetest Labrador possible.

Thank you Honey. We will meet again, I know............
