Sorry to read this. Poor little Jack. Please don't be too hard on yourself, Emma. You made the only decision you could for him, and it is very difficult in the middle of the night with young children and no babysitter. You could hardly have got them out of bed and dragged them along to a vet's surgery at midnight.

Jack will now be running free at the bridge, and no longer suffering.
