My little baby is no longer a baby
Pheebs came into season this morning - there was significant swelling yesterday and then this morning it was like she had a golf ball in her minnie it was that big Only found one teeny spot of blood on her cushion in her crate when we got up but plenty of blood on the tissue test.
She's been cleaning herself all day and is dropping no blood on the carpet or floor, just when she is sat still for any length of time; even then she proceeds to lick clean the carpet/floor/sofa. We've got covers over the sofa and her bedding for ease of cleaning although she is cleaning up after herself anyway
We have a large industrial estate a short drive away so we'll probably take her there for a walk if she is desperate to go out but at the moment she is happy to curl up with us for cuddles and is sleeping a lot so we aren't going to take her out for the next 4 weeks if we don't have to - don't want to upset people/dogs/bitches unnecessarily
My little Pheebs is a woman - I don't know whether to smile or cry
Well? Isn't it like that??? When I saw that their "vulva swelled" I thought hmmm yes but how much? And now I know and that IS the best way to describe it! Isn't it though!?
Thanks Di, Sheena and Lacey She is ok in herself just very clingy and very whiny. She's eating ok too which is suprising
Awwww bless her - she wanted to join the gang didnt she awwww what age is she lucie? 8 months?
I am pleassantly surprised so far Ruby is on day 4 and no blood spots anywhere apart from her bedding so no need for the knickers yet. Ruby is being really clean too sh even trys to clean all her bedding when she has been layin down awwww
Ruby has been fine with no walks which is the biggest shock - although its still very early days I know.
Rubys bits arent swollen though but all around is - hehe the things we talk about.
I am BIG time relieved as I was starting to invent all kinds of diseases she had as she was so late hehehehehehehe
So lucy and Di and end of march ish spay then? We will all be gibbering wrecks together
Oh bum, yes Sheena! What a shame! We'll do it in the New Year definitely - I'm off till the 8th Jan so Pheebs should be all done and dusted by New Year She'll be desperate to come play with Fudge and Jess after spending 4 weeks in the house!
