How many people on here have a child with special needs? i just thought if there were a few we could have a post for support, questions, ideas or just to moan if your having a bad day.
I have a 10 year old daughter with SLD, Autism and challenging behaviour, whom i wouldn't change for the world.

My youngest son Joshua (7) has Coats disease, which is quite rare, It means in basic form that he will go blind in his left eye by the age of about 10.
It doesn't bother him, as his sight has always been very limited in the affected eye, but he will require surgery, just waiting for the date.
He also has a hernia, which is being operated on Wednesday, so please send him some healing vibes for Weds.
All my kids are great, I wouldnt change a thing about any of them,

My eldest son doesn't have educational special needs but has medical special needs. He was born with aortic stenosis and a co-arctation of the aorta. He has had 4 open heart operations and now has an artificial aortic valve plus a human donor pulmonary valve. He's nearly 16 an doing his GCSE's this year. Luckily he's a bright boy who doesn't seem to be affected by time off school.
I work in a school for children with special needs - age range 2 - 19
