Ahh Denise - (great Name!) you really made me think - We are coming up to our first year with Twigs (in Jan) and I look back and think of all the angst I went thru when she was a puppy and the wonderful support I got from this site and now I cannot imagine life without Twiggy
I spoke to my parents this evening as OH and I are having our first Christmas in the UK in 3 years - (we have a little hideway in Corfu) and was hoping to catch up for the festive season this year - but was sent an email from my brother saying they were "running the show" this year and of course we were welcome - but Twigs wasn't... (Cream carpets etc!!) I have to say I was mortified... they have a dog (clean obviously and not a Labby!!) so I sent a rather terse response. ie WE are staying in London!
But reading your email did make me realise how much WE have changed since having Twiggy - I am now so used to mud on my carpets, walls, beds and floors - I love her wet little (!) body when we come back from the lake and I wouldn't have my life any other way - She's the best thing that ever happended to us and she is "our little Girl"
And best of all next year she is coming to Corfu with us - and the sibling can spend the summer in Surrey!!!!!
Cheers

Omg Denise, i would tell them where to go, what does your brother expect you to do with Twiggy over christmas, leave him to defend for himself or put him in kennels
You will have a lovely first christmas with twiggy in London.
I must admit my Sister would say they same, ' dont bring the dogs, when she visits she wont have anything to do with them, saying she doesnt know how i cope with them, they must be such a tie. I always say not at all they are my life, i wont go anywhere with out them. hehe we have just set our wedding day and both and OH agreed dogs should come on our honeymoon
Hi Denise
thanks for that made me feel a bit less guilty about being so horrid to my brother - he hasn't replied or called so I am guessing he is steaming at the mo' but who cares - Over the years we have put up with their kids doing what kids do - and you would think they could make a bit of time for our little girl - Mucky-pup tho she may be!!!
Anyway my parents are coming to London for Boxing day now - so I have told them to bring their wellies heheheh!!!
Cheers
