wave I need some advice please.

I have noticed a pattern in Rubys behaviour regarding her food. Several times she has gone off her food - for weeks if not longer. I didnt know why this was.

Today I have had a eureuka moment Shocked This happens after her routine is disturbed - the first time after we went camping for a few days. This time it was straight after we spent the weekend away from home. Ruby hasnt eaten a meal straight away all week Crying or Very sad

She eats it eventually and isnt losing weight but i wonder if there is anything I can do to ease this - she is a very sensitive soul and I think its upsets her if she is out of her routine. Any ideas?

Gracie is just like this! Everytime we have gone away she goes off her food - for a few days at least. I usually add a very small tasty bit of sardines in - that usually gets her eating again.

yes good idea - I have been adding sausages today and that does the trick. I just feel bad for her to be that stressed and upset by what should be a nice thing for her to go off her food - makes we want to keep her home Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Looking at this from a different angle.....Maybe it's because she has such an ingrained routine that any change from it is upsetting. Maybe juggling her routine about a bit on a regular basis would help her cope better with change.....Just an idea. Wink Wink

Sorry vicky but I can't help giggling as I write this......I think you and Ruby need 'Couples councelling' I mean, what are you like when you are planning a trip away?!!!! You are packed a week in advance, as is Ruby's kit, whereas most of us are sitting around the night before we go away wondering whether to wait until the morning before throwing out spare knickers, a toothbrush and a bag of dog food in a carrier bag Laughing

I think that Jules is right.....spontinuity is the way forward!!!!! Laughing

(* Becs starts packaging up the brown paper bags ready to do a mercy-dash to vicky's abode*)
