Is this just highlighting Labrador puppies that have developed illness of some kind andlater find that the pedigree is false, or speaking of all breeders who sell puppies who later go on to develop an illness?
There is much could be said in defense of a good breeder who sells a pup and it develops a problem through no or little fault of the breeder other than a poor mating choice (although they couldn't have known it at the time of mating- some matings just don't click or work successfully) and so on....
Maybe its just the 'false or made up pedigree' breeders in which case i'm all for exposing them.
Di, this covers all breeds, it is that when speaking to the people responsible for the organisation a few days ago, I realised there was nothing on LF - so asked permission to post as I am aware that there are problems with our breed
It is NOT aimed at reputable breeders who may have a pup that is simply unlucky - this is aimed at looking at the whole licensing issue / licensed & unlicensed Commercial breeders / dodgy papers etc for ANY BREED - including deliberate cross breeding within the commerical environment
Completely explained thanks Sue very much. Asabreeder sometimes you know, you do your best and still things go wrong....sigh..you know? But rightly so puppy buyers expect genetic perfection.... and it can turn very nasty if they don't get it... but I TOTALLY undersatand now this is not what your campaign you posted are aiming at... phew!
