Ooooohhhhh Crufts!!! It beats Christmas for my favourite day of the year!!! I always have to take a full week off work just to cope with my mounting excitement, because you see, ONE Year I jus know I'm going to win 'Best in Show', Best Obedience, and probably the Agilty AND THEN be on Blue Peter with my Wonder Dog the following Monday (after exclusive interviesw with Ben Fogle and the rest of the TV reporters...... ) I can feel in in my waters that this is my destiny. But you are all safe this year as I have yet to find my 'Wonder Dog' although I have my acceptance speeches all worked out so that when the time comes I'll be well prepared.............
I would like to put myself forward as Chief Cheerleader for any LF dogs taking part in 2007 Crufts My pompoms are on order and my leg-kicking/somersaulting routine is only in need of a little more practise..the enthusiasm is there, just lacking in style at the moment. I'm planning to recruit more cheerleaders nearer the time so we can cover at least one full side of the lab ring - I think that when we form the finishing 'human-pyamid' stunt at the end eyebrows will be raised.....although obviously we wouldn't wish to take away any of the LF member's glory as you collect your winner's rosettes......
I do hope that any LF competitors will make themselves and their dogs known to us so we can get the Tee-shirts with their names on printed up in good time so there is no doubt as to who we are there cheering on
I can then ensure that we make sure to include their benches in the conga line that I will be heading prior to them going into the ring
Did I ever tell you that I once 'HANDLED A DOG AT CRUFTS'????? Oh yes...one of my finest hours (well seconds) that was........the owner needed to dash to the loo prior to their class and asked me...YES ME.....if I could hold her dog whilst she nipped to the loo..........OK, I wasn't actually in the ring as such, but boy, did I ever swank it up!!!!! So I am experienced in the art of handling on of the world's top dogs so anyone needing some 'tips' for the big day, you only need ask......
Thanks a lot !!!!
I'm still thinking of coming over again this year for Crufts ... it's been a while since I last visited and it would be great to go again ... and with all shopping to be done, ooooohhhh
Hey i'll wearanything to make myself distinguishable! False boobies? Pink knitted bobble hat? You all know you are looking for a grey haired old lady in me
I have two qualified for the breed ring and one extra going qualified for the BASC Gamekeeper ring but she will be benched by the breed benching (by special permission - ohhh swanky eh - you have to sleep with the Chairman of the Crufts committee to get special permission for anything usually and I just wrote a little old letter !!)
I'm so easy to find, as I get a team together from my shoot for the gamekeeper team competition and we all wear 'Newhouse Farm Shoot' sweatshirts with a huge pheasant and 'GAME BIRD!' on the back.... not easy to miss...
BTW, got my Crufts schedules in the post today generated by entry last year so everyone else must have them coming soon too...
