I took Stormy to puppy classes at 15 weeks, they were for one hour on a Sunday and cost me £8 per hour. We then did clicker classes and they were the same price with the same trainer. Both were 6 weeks courses. I then found the club I am at now and have been there almost one and a half years. We train outside which I found has been better for us. The classed cost £10 an hour, but we pay for 8 lessons in block bookings. The classes are ongoing and we get more advanced every time the dog masters what it needs to do. Both Stormy and I just love it.
No the dogs are not allowed to greet each other, they are as pups, but not as they get older. I found this hard to accept at first, but as time went on I saw the reasons why and now I am so pleased because my dog does not run off after other dogs in the park, he is more interested in playing with me even when other dogs come over. However, If I give him the command to go and play then he will happily go and play with other dogs.

I go to a general training class each week....its basically pay-as-you-go £3 a week, so if you can't make it for whatever reason you don't pay anything.
It isn't a course, just general basic obedience (not to competition standard). The club does do a basic training course that lasts 6 weeks and costs £25, but if you miss a week you miss out....people who want to continue then go to the pay-as-you-go class. Unfortunately there isn't much in the way of training near me, 'cos I'd really have liked to do KC GC, but I can't find anyone that does it at a time that suits...
