Rolo doesnt mind which paw but we taught him to give left or right by tapping him lightly on whichever side of the cheek we wanted and hey presto he now just does it on touch command no words needed.

Since she got a lop-sided 'sit', a floppy puppy one, she gives whichever one she's not leaning on Laughing Laughing

Boomer will only do her right paw. She's got it down to a fine art and will even wave with it!

There is no way she will even try her left paw. We've tried treats, tapping it, encouragement, even lifting it slightly - but she panicked and lay down! Don't think she's quite got the hang of shifting her body weight.

Think she'll just be a one-paw-wave dog!

Pheebs does "paw" and usually gives her right paw but will give me the "other paw" if I ask for it Smile

Pheebs has been a bit of a weirdo when it comes to the paw trick Laughing She did it all the time when she was tiny and then all of a sudden, one day at about 3 months old, she stopped and refused to give it. Then about 2 months ago I spent a whole day trying to teach her it again and she started doing it again Very Happy but it wasn't easy to re-teach her it Confused she didn't like doing it at ALL! Rolling Eyes Laughing

Toby is pretty reluctant to give you a paw lol, he was gingerly lifiting it from the floor, now coaxed him to give me it a bit better now, always his right paw right enough and hes not that keen on it at all lol. Trying to teach him rollover right enough and he thinks im nuts!

If you ask Niko for a paw its an almightly big paw your get with either or hes no fussy or if you have a treat you get both paws lol. Hes always been good at it, even when you dont ask for a paw he'll come give you 1 if he wants a cuddle lol.
