My cats come when I call them too...It's so funny to see...I stand on my doorstep and shout "pud-pud-puddy" and three cats come running as fast as they can, from all directions.
I want a cat- however I have to want on as I live on a busy road- I see several cats a year in the side of the road and it breaks my heart. I have to make do with my friends cats Mungo and Midge - trouble is they were named the wrong way round!!!
Unfortunatley our previous cats have fallen victim to busy roads, but Stan must have had built in road sense as he has outlived them all - 15 now.
On another note to all - who came first, the cat or dog and how did they get on?
Stan - the cat - was first and it was so comical when we first brought Kips home. We didn't see him for a couple of days. That was 9 years ago.
Now, the cat is definatley the boss. I could go on forever about the antics

Ohhh that's a bit of a tricky one...I have 3 cats; 9 years, 6 years x 2 and 3 dogs; 13 years, 2 years and 19 weeks...I have had other cats and dogs too all at mixed intervals.
All of mine get along fine and two out of the 3 cats just love to snuggle with the dogs (the other one is a permanent attachment to my lap ). I think it is best to have the dogs first, because cats can get their noses put out when a dog arrives in a normally dog-free house, but I have done it that way round too without too much hassle.
I also have rabbits that all the dogs and cats get along with, sit with, etc. I do have Guinea pigs too...but they are very small and squeeky so I wouldn't trust the cats with them.
