Well the CD has been on for the last hour and so far so good Very Happy
Max has plonked himself down in his little den that is by the side of the pc, curled up on his cushion and is fast asleep Shocked

To say that i am amazed is an understatment. No jumping out of his skin, no panting and no shaking bless him Very Happy

Ok hes never going to be happy with fireworks after his nasty experiences at the old house, but i can honestly say that hes 100% better than he was this time last week Wink

Bless him, he was even brave enough to head butt the CD player after i had turned it off last night Laughing

Oh wow, sounds like it's working really well.

Baxter doesn't seem bothered so far, he just barks at them but I don't think he's scared. I think he thinks they're car doors shutting and someones coming to see him!

sounds like you are making real progress jane I am glad you and max will have a less stressfull bonfire season this year!!!
We have had a few go off nearby, if it is really close and very loud she jumps as do I when you are not expecting it but she looks around as if to say "what the h£ll did you do that for!!" then lays down again!!! on saturday I took her out for a late night stroll as I had ants in my pants and one went off while we were out she jumped and spun round but I just carried on walking and she doesn't seem any worse for wear over it! so hopefully it won't get any worse!

Thanks guys Wink
it was really breaking my heart to see the poor lad so terrified, i cant even begin to imagine how Trizia copes with poor Sherpa knowing that hes likely to have a fit when he hears fireworks.

Looks like the next break thru is starting to happen Shocked
Max actually stayed in his den when i got up just now to go to the kitchen Very Happy Ok it was only for a few seconds but he did let me get out of sight before he came charging after me, and yes his tail was tucked between his legs but still no shaking Very Happy Very Happy Wink

Well we've now been using the CD daily for just over a week, and the change in Max is just amazing Laughing

As soon as i put it on, the CD player gets a good head butt and then he plonks down in his little den and GOES TO SLEEP Shocked

He's now not worried when i leave the room and believe me it is being played quite loud now (yes ive got a headache Laughing )

He did get a bit panicky last night when some little darlings let some bangers off right outside the window Evil or Very Mad but just got in his den and was calm within a minute or so Very Happy I think i jumped more than what he did Wink

Ive even cut the rescue remedy by half now and hopefully over the next couple of days he wont need it anymore Wink

Im going to keep playing it daily for the next few weeks and hopefully by the time the New Year firworks start he will accept them more easily Wink
