Hey Becs - I'll help you out if you like. You wear your bunny outfit and I'll wear my Santa one - if that doesn't get her more interested in us then forget it! (if not Flo, then you know that we shall be chased by lots of men instead! Laughing Laughing )

One friend suggested that another could only teach her JRT a recall by firmly tieing it to her largest strongest Labrador.

I know someone who did this to an Afghan Hound he was looking after. He had spent 4 hours the day before looking for it after he let it off lead. He tied it to his biggest Old English Sheepdog....The Afghan had to come when it was called then Wink Laughing .

Seriously Becs....I don't think Flo misses out on much in life....so for the sake of your sanity and Flo's ears ...I'd stick with the flexi lead Wink Wink

Hey ho...it was worth a try anyway!!! Rolling Eyes I was kind of hoping that someone would have a golden-tip they could offer that would be the answer to all my prayers! The thing is that every now and then Flo lulls me into a false sense of security and I'm quite convinced that, THIS TIME, she wont let me down and I undo the flexi-lead!!!! BIG MISTAKE Shocked She kicks up her heels and heads off into the undergrowth after Bright Eyes and chums and I'm stuck for hours ripping myself to bits in the brambles and stingers, rustling my bag of treats and sticking my arms into rabbit holes Rolling Eyes
I dread all my dogs getting old, with one exception.....I can't WAIT for Flo to be a little fat terrier of about 93...waddling along with a top sped of 5MPH, deaf and and with a full compliment of cataracts, a tartan dog-coat and no teeth. THEN I shall unclip her flexi lead and delight in watching Flopsy. Mopsy, Cottontail and Peter skipping about and taunting her whilst Flo mutters and curses under her breath!!! I shall clutch onto my zimmer frame to stop myself laughing in glee Laughing Bring it on!!!!!

Oh Becs ia m so sorry but this thread has made me laugh so much!!! I haven't had the pleasure of owning a terrier type dog and have no intention of doing so especially after reading this!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked but I really don't think you should feel sorry for her sounds like she has a great life to me!!

A friend of my hubbies has just purchased a JRT and she hates it her husband really wanted one but it is a nightmare she keeps getting out of their fence and following anyone who is around!! she was driving in to work the other day and on her way so a wee doggy and thought hold on a sec that MY dog!!! she has no recall no manners and the kids are in danger of loosing thier toes!!!!

You said "can't WAIT for Flo to be a little fat terrier of about 93...waddling along with a top sped of 5MPH, deaf and and with a full compliment of cataracts, a tartan dog-coat and no teeth."

You will have to ad a constant runny nose to that lot- I think the Rolling Eyes nose Rolling Eyes gets them into more Embarassed trouble Embarassed than the rest put together
