Amy was rather snipey as a baby and even at 9 months, (in the photo with me and a dummy) she was still a bit that way. Her head has improved so much in the second 9 months so that by now, 17 months old, she is not that bad. (I'm not saying but it could be the Marmalade Sandwiches!) As Di said, Labrador heads change so much as they grow.

It's a bit like the person asking directions to get to a particular place and being told, "If I wanted to go there I would not start from here!" If I'd wanted to show I would not have brought Amy. I want my Labs to at least look something like the breed, but as a working dog she is going to be rather finer than those in the ring.

I don't know if you are involved with showing, but if you are not then you would find it an eye opener to go to a benched show and walk round the benches looking at the "Types" on the benches All of a particular breeder's dogs would be benched together so you have the opportunity to see what they are breeding. What "Types" you like and what you dislike. It allows you to "Plan" your next puppy.

Regards, John

Very Happy This is how I found Clover Very Happy (following exhaustive conversations with breeders throughout the UK and a little directional help from some friends here on LF Very Happy )

Lovely pic of Anna and Amy playing together John, sorry to hear Anna`s not doing so well after her op, any ideas as to why that would be, I thought they usually made good recoveries from spays, tho I spose like us some don`t do so well as others.
