I write this in the desperate desperate hope that someone can help, or if they can't PLEASE just remember this post if you hear the slightest thing which sounds familiar in the near future.
My best friend left her home for 3 hours yesterday (Saturday 26th August) with her 10 Labrador puppies in a secure play area. When she retruned nothing has been tampered with but two puppies....
ONE BLACK BITCH
ONE YELLOW BITCH
.....were missing. The surrounding area has been combed and huinted over and over. She livesin a rural area on the outskirts of STEYNING in WEST SUSSEX. This is near to BRAMBER and LOWER BEEDING.
The police feel the puppies escaped somehow although no obvious point is to be found, and whoever then found the puppies has kept them or has stolen them to sell on.
The main A283 from Steyning to Washington on the A24 runs behind my friends house and this is a likely point where they may have appeared. The A283 leads to Storrington, Petworth and Pullborough. It also in the other direction leads to Shoreham. The A24 is just 3 miles from the point where the pups may have appeared and runs from WORTHING to LONDON taking in HORSHAM and CRAWLEY.
PLEASE PLEASE if you hear anything or have any numbers or websites I can visit or call tell me. We arein the most incrediable distress. Had the puppies been found dead is one thing but not knowing what on earth has happened to them.
My telephone is: 07714458944 email: wylanbriarlabs@aol.com
Brenda Cox's (Steyningas Labradors) is 01903 816348 or 07740118069.
Please if you see or hear of anything call or email. The puppies have few distinguishing features. They are a mix of show and working bred, of good size with no white markings. They were plump and well at a day off 8 weeks of age yesterday.
OMG. I can't believe it. I will say that most breeders in France actually microchip their pups before they find homes so at leat the dogs are identifiable. It may add a small amount to their costs but surely it has got to be worth it in the long run?
I share your distress. I have just posted a photo on a French website of a beautiful Black giant schnauzer bitch that belongs to my agility instructor. She disappeared from her garden about a month ago. We know how you feel and hope some news, good or bad is heard soon.
Di I will cross post for you on other sites I belong too

If you post on Lost labs and Dog Lost it will generate posters, there is a dog show on in your area next week apparently (post on DP's in reply), if not found by then, might be worth leafleting.
