Hi All
Wow, what a fantastic day we've all had, and the weather was really good to us.
It was great meeting everyone and putting faces to names.
Rhoni and the team did a fantastic job. I would like to thank each and everyone of them for making it such a great day - I can't name them all individually as knowing me I would miss someone out and that would be awful - Julie, they did you proud.
The labralympics were great fun even though Clare's Amber had eaten Charlie's and someone elses sausage before we'd even started the 'sausage and spoon' race. I couldn't see who won the 1st labbie football as there was just a mass brawl trying to get the ball, which lasted about 5 seconds! Lacey's Alfie popped the 2nd ball.
The 3 legged race - well what can I say? I've now idea who won that as me and Tom (eldest son) fell over in the mud about 3/4 of the way in and couldn't get back up for laughing.
The 'Bark in the Park' was great fun too. I'll not tell you all the winners as I'm sure their proud owners will want to tell you. I can tell you who won 'Best Butt' though - yay well done Charlie - having HD sure does make him swing his hips!!!!
I have some photos ready to put on but am totally useless with computers. Could some clever person set up a new album and I'll add some piccies. Thanks
Hi we were there too, although only for 3 hours or so due to my 3 year old son moaning that he wanted to go home
We had a great time, especially Dexter, and it was nice to see everyone and all the nice doggies.
I tried to use my camera only to find out my batteries were flat so I'd love to see some pics please.
We missed the football and sausage n spoon race, sounds like everyone else had a good time.
Hope to see yas all again next year
it was a really good day.. although started badly, with dexter taking a major disliking to a boy lab (not sure who's it was... but SORRY!!), and their leads got tangled, so it was just horrendous. luckily there were no teeth involved, still looked nasty though. he got a quick, firm telling off and he calmed right down after that, and was really good with all the other dogs, he made plenty of new friends and caught up with some old ones just wish everyone didn't witness his alter ego
amber showed me up, stealing charlie and majic's sausage, before the race had even begun.. it all happened so fast!!! luckily mary took pitty on us, and gave them new sausages!!!! dexter should have done labrafooty, but i was a bit worried after his behaviour earlier - think he'd have been fine though.
dexter came 4th in most handsome dog, 1st in dog judge would like to take home (but he was being a bit of a tart, rolling over so he could be tickled by the judges!!) and amber won most mischievous lab (but i think she's just naughty, not mischievous!!). i also won some great prizes on the raffle, the main one being a dog cushion from JPPets, it's excellent.. although dexter has already had his way with it
wendy - it was great to see charlie and his newfound 'puppyhood', he seemed to be moving well - didn't seem to be in pain at all, let's hope it continues that way until he has his op!!!
rhoni and helpers did a superb job, it was really well organised and thoroughly enjoyable - thanks everyone
Wendy i was sat watching the labralympics .... it was wonderful to watch..had me in hysterics!!!
The photo's are lovley...WTG Charlie for winning "Best Butt"
Rhoni was a star ...she did a fantastic job... And she kept us Mods on our toes all day!!! talk about cracking the whip
Jayne,,, I was over the moon to meet and have a cuddle with Dexter OMG he's such a handsome boy and after all he's been through recentley well he has a soft spot in my affections... ..So wish Sherpa could have been there today and met you too ... Mind you he hasn't stopped sniffing me since i got home... checking out all the labby scents ..
Clare ..LMAO about the lovley big Dog cushion you won .. there you were with Amber and Dexter and having to lug that off with you.. ..only to have a jiggying session occur!!! ....

Well we are back too & boy did we have a great time!!
Woody & Scrumpy thoroughly enjoyed meeting young Charlie. Wendy, & like wise for myself & Dave meeting you & your family !!
Infact we realy enjoyed meeting everyone A great day out & so much fun can't wait for next years
Thanks for the album Sam. I have put some photos in now (my computer is so slow). Hopefully others will add theirs as they return home.
Thanks Bernie - it was great meeting you too, and if there was one dog I fell in love with today, it was the gorgeous, gentle Scumpy. Woody is lovely too.
Also well done Trizia for the paw prints autograph book - it looked fabulous.
Can't wait for next year - if you couldn't make it this year, please try to make it next year - it's great fun!!!!
Just like to say what a wonderful day I have had at the GT. Kelly really enjoyed it too - she does not have much contact with other dogs as I live in a small village - she spent most of the homeward journey asleep & is now flat out in her crate!
Thanks to Rhoni & the team for the excellent organization & for making the whole event so enjoyable. It was good to talk to people I have previously met, make new friends too & now know some more people who use this site.
Clare commented on how well Charlie moved & I agree - you would not think that he had hip trouble. It was nice to see you again Wendy & family & I hope everything goes OK when Charlie has his op.
Thanks again everyone for making the day so enjoyable.
