hubby is getting really stressed over this camper and going awa, and i feel really bad, cos i know its me who wants to go more than him. its also his 30th birthday and i think secretly he was wishing he was here going out with his mates i feel really guilty, and sorry for him ive saved all his cards that people have sent, so he can open them there tomorrow, but thats it
Take a deep breath Wendy, try not to stress. (much easier said than done, I know!)
Maybe have a word with hubby and see what he thinks about this weekend.?
*I know theres a thread around here somewhere about your camper, goes to look for thread!*

Just a suggestion which maybe totally inappropriate??
Maybe take a cake and birthday banners and balloons, stuff like that and have a camping birthday party, everyone can come to your camper for a birthday drink, don't forget the booze!!
I saw a picture of a Renault autosleeper Rinini camper on the net and it looks great!!

i have banners and balloons, but he will be up before me if we go tonight, and if we go in the morning, i can do it, but it wont be a surprise. will have to see i guess. thanks
Come one cheer up ... you can have a suprise birthday party bash for him there .. and i'm sure it wud lovely to celebrate his birthday with so many 4 leggeg companions...
YOu still speak to fay or rhoni or karen and arrange a "happy birthday" singing for your hubby
Oh wendy...trust me come tomoro you will woner what all the worry was for...anyway men like to moan and get harassed it makes them look more important....there are plenty other weekends in the year he can go out with his mates...theres only 1 BIG GT...give him a snog from me n cassie in the morning oh get a sign
IF THIS VAN IS ROCKING DONT BOTHER KNOCKING !!!!!!!
... I love the way you are dead concerned about him and if he will think it a worthwhile thing to do on his 'special' birthday, but are not even mentioning not going instead.... ha ha! Don't take that the wrong way - I LOVE your style
I am a completely different fish of course because my life is surrounded by dog activities with competing every weekend, sometimes twice a weekend, training, having 8 dogs around the kennels and house constantly and so on - BUT don't make him resent your dog hobby, its a thin line one has to walk between realising its not for everyone these dog gatherings or competitions.
Watching you chaps building up for this is wonderful! Sadly I'll be at a working test in the Cotswolds (another day away again depending on hubbys good nature to look after the 6 i'm NOT taking)....
Good luck!Have you considered him not going with you - hubby and I constantly do things seperately and I'm not a great deal older than your hubby He would go out with the lads to celebrate and me go off on my own if it was this household....
thanks di, but we are off down to cornwall for the week after, so we need to go together. we have just picked up the camper and got it home, so at least thats one less stress.
introducing ourselves is the prob, we are both very quiet. luckily we have an excitable lab thats bringing us out of oursleves abit
