Yipppeee we got our kennel club bronze tonight. I knew Stormy would get it as he is ready for his silver, but we had to get the bronze first. However, even though I knew he would get it, I was nervous just incase he was distracted on the night, but he was spot on, so I am so chuffed and looking forward to getting his silver. A couple of weeks ago he got his bronze award at our training club, which was different. It is recognised by the British Institute of Professional dog trainers. This was far more advanced work than the Bronze Kennel club, so I was so chuffed when he got both. It is great to see them get these awards and how much progress they have made.

Thank you both. Yes I am very proud of him. Stormy is 2. We wanted to do our Kennel club award last year, but our trainer stopped doing it at his club just as we joined. He said with over 300 members at the club, it was hard to fit everyone in. However he recently started a new award. Which is by the British Institute of Professional trainers. It is much harder than the kennel club one, so I was so chuffed when stormy got his a couple of weeks ago. The things we did for this test was things that the kennel club are doing for their gold. So I dread to think what we will have to learn for a silver as the bronze was so detailed, but I still wanted the kennel club one, so we joined another club for a 6 week course to go for his bronze and we got that this evening. I hope to go back to the new club in a few months time when they start the silver awards and go for the kennel club silver too.

Yes I am so proud of him. I was a bit disappointed this morning. I went to get his certificate laminated. I usually do them myself, but last time my laminater played up and the certificate got a bit wrinkled,so I decided to get it done at the shops. There was not a single crease on the certificate, but when the girl laminated it, it landed up with a wrinkly bit right across the bottom of the certificate. Ahhh might as well done it myself. At least it is not over the writing though. She said there was a crease on it beforehand, but there wasn't as I put it in proper envie as soon as I got it Crying or Very sad She did not charge me for the A5 certificate she laminated, becauses the first one was wrinkled.

yes it does Monya. Even though I knew he could do it, there is always the worry what if he does something wrong on the night lol. At one stage I was worried. We had to do a recall. All dogs went one end of the hall one at a time. Then the owner went to the front by the stage and did the recall. When it came to us, she got me to put stormy in the front of the stage and go the opposite end. On the stage she had two bowls of hot dogs uncovered. I saw stormy look at them, so I got his attention and did the recall. Phew that was a close one. I think she was challenging us more because none of the other dogs had done any training and she knew Stormy had.
