I knew that things would go wrong and that relying on my ex-hubby for the loan of his tent was a recipe for disappointment (especially after my pesky old pups ate his wallet which he unfortunately left here by mistake the other day Shocked Laughing Wink )
He's just rang me to say that the tent (which was originally mine, might I add Evil or Very Mad ) now has a broken zip and has kindly offered me the use of a 2-man tent instead Evil or Very Mad Yeah- and thats really going to offer a night of sweet dreams and slumber to me Dave and 3 hefty dogs Evil or Very Mad

I now have the Argos catalogue out and am trying to decide if the £15 one-man tent is possibly bigger than it looks and could fit us all in(unlikely) or whether to go for a 4 man all-in-the- same-sleeping-compartment £49 tent versus the 4 man-but -divided-into-2-sleeping-compartments for an extra £15 is the better buy Shocked Would it be better to have all dogs sleeping in with me and Dave(I use the word "sleeping" very loosely) or to have them in their own sleeping compartment where Ugo may well make a bid for freedom in the night and lead the other 2 astray whilst Dave and I sleep in blissful ignorance??? This has to be weighed up against the cost of a one-night-most-probably-never-to-be-repeated-camping trip versus not feeding the kids for the rest of the month (too much protein only makes them way too perky anyway!!!!)

OR option 2, check in the paper tomorrow for a second hand one going VERY cheap possibly also with a dodgy zip,

OR decide that the Gods are trying to tell me that this camping lark was a bad idea to start with, and had I not been half-pickled when I booked the trip I would have realised it a lot earlier. Conclusion:- go for the day and be tucked up in my own comfy bed come 10 pm?

Decisions, decisions- what to do???????

HELP! Becs and the homeless gang

Becs

Why don't you try Freecycle and see if anyone has one they want to give away.

Becs, I could bring my family tent for you to borrow if you would like. It isn't difficult to put up. It has 2 bedrooms, each supposed to sleep 3, but you'd have to be VERY FRIENDLY with each other! The bedrooms are independent of each other i.e. you can use one on its own.
I can easily throw it in the car.
