Hiya, just wanted to add that there were times when i thought that Ruby was posessed! An absolute nightmare, and it was always about 8 9 ish when we were trying to settle down. I was cloose to tears at times thinking that we'd gone horribly wrong with her up bringing so far, but honestly it gets better! Just remember to log on and you'll get flooded with sympathy!

Good luck x x x x

Ah thanks Gillie. Darcy does have his mad moment around 9pm when we're settled in front of the tv. He gets lots of attention before that so it's not as if he's neglected. Tonight he had two time outs and paid us back by peeing in the lounge twice! Finally flopped at hubbies feet. Guess our image of dog at his master's side in front of the fire will have to stay on hold while we train him to actually do that! Laughing

Hi we have the same thing with Joey (12 weeks old) what i have done is brought nylabones, denta rasks and anything chewable that looks like it might last more than 5 seconds!

I reserve these chews for when i really need Joey to settle eg when i'm eating breakfast or what to watch tv. I ask him to perform all sit down and give a paw (all the traicks he knows!) then i give him the chew and sit down. Whilst he is quiet i stroke him loads and say "good settle Joey" he now goes to the sofa with the chew before i sit down.

If he does go mad he gets one warning (firm No!) then if he continues i say "Oh dear" and put him outside the room. Length of time depends on the crime!
