ok well I think the minx may possibly have the WORST timing ever for her first season.
Lat night at training 2 dogs tried to mount her and even prior to this Rubys tail was under BUT she wasnt exhibiting any signs of fear the trainer said it could be a protection thing if she was also coming into season. Also she was a fidgit and wasnt that keen to put her rear on the floor - the trainer had a look and said she was a bit swollen (I couldnt see swelling but then I dont really know what to look for)
I didnt really think much of it last night as its a new class only second time last night and I thought it 'could' be a settling in thing (hehe desperately hoping more like eh) but today she is a bit erm weird - I just measured her for another thread and she was holding herself really weird like stock still (I was measureing along her spine) is this also a 'presentation' attempt do you think?
Its Rubys 11 months birthday today so the time is certainly right.
Sooooooo do all of these sounds like Ruby has really cr*p timing and will result in us missing the GT do you think?????

If you stand behind her put your hands on her sides, rather like a dog mounting her, her natural reaction is to hold her tail to one side to allow access. It is often used by people as guide that a bitch is coming into season. Personally, just about all of my bitches do this all the time though so I would not lay too much store by it. I figure it's coming up to toilet tissue testing time!
Hhmmmm - sounds a bit suspicious to me Vicky. I know zip all about bitches but from a boy's point of view they always seem to know first if a bitch is coming into season and if you had 2 trying to mount her last night.... She's the right age too....oh dear, looks like bad timing!
Please promise me one thing Vicky - don't put those black knickers on her!
____________ Philippa and Dan
She could have wiped my feet first
Trouble is Philippa, they often know such a long way in front that the info they give is not of immediate relevance. My friend's Bernese would start to get interested a month to six weeks before!
hehe ok tissue testing last night this morning and just now showed nothing\did the hands on back thing Rubys tail didnt move she just tried to bite my hand all in play like they do hehehehe
