Took Ruff out on Tuesday for her first off lead action since her op. She ran round and round in circles for 20 mins non stop (I was starting to get worried), we then played ball and chase the kids for another hour.
I knew she was going stir crazy but not that much, while she had her stitches in we would all refuse to throw her ball when she dropped it at our feet and not let her run around the garden. I think she thought there was something wrong with us she felt better but we needed to protect her stitches.
She was having 2 half hour lead walks from 2 days after her op, so after being let off for a proper run she went a bit mental. She has had her normal exercise since but still seems to be enjoying it more, I knew she enjoyed her walks but now I really know how important they are to her.
Took Alfie out last night in the rain and he loved it, soon as we got home he rubbed himself against the walls to try and dry off and then did the tucky bum run
Would love to have seen Ruby doing the tucky bum run on the lead though hehehe
Alfie does the star jump too, they're so funny, i love watching him having mad moments
We've been getting soaked on our walks - I can't say if Joey prefers rain or not but its so nice not to have to worry about him overheating!
This morning though there was a new shirehorse in the field next to the one we walk in and when Joey saw it he ran over to it then ran around doing puppy crazies for 10 minutes!
It was so funny and I've no idea why he did it!
It was like a combination of him being scared and excited by this big new horse!
Buddy doesn't mind going out in the rain but when he comes in or if he's just had a bath he goes mental running all over the place and up and down the furniture getting everything soaking wet.
if it rains and she needs to go for a pee, ...if she could dodge the rain drops she would!![/quote]
Meg usually responds instantly to 'Hurry Up' and off she goes to the bottom of the garden, but recently it's been not only raining but dark at bedtime - am I spoiling her by taking the big umbrella and holding it over her? btw she's a swimoholic so it makes no sense. Daft Doglet!
yep Lucy does bum tucking when the rain appears. I take her over the park and she will play fight and do loads of bum tucking with her friend! If there is a puddle she just has to go through it (its the look on her face) and not around it, its like theres no other option! But strangely she seems to be attracted to them off lead, but trys to avoid them on lead!
