You`ve booked a pitch I take it? Very Happy , you`ll also need to be thinking about feeding yourself and the kids (and the dogs of course) if your arriving on the friday.

The camp site is next to the water park (almost) and the cafe there isn`t easily available til the saturday really.

hehe Monya - I am sure that your first camping trip will be more successful than ours! Ours wasn't that good because:

*The beds popped (so make sure you get decent ones!)
*The lamp - which was fully charged - only lasted an hour. Again, get a decent one!
*The gas stove we got broke so no cups of tea - again, get a good one or like us now, get an electric hook up and bring your kettle. As for cooking we now have a portable gas bbq!
*if your pup is crate trained, bring it! lol we forgot and poor Gracie got no proper rest

I am sure there is more, but as you can see we have learned from our mistakes so we can pass on our experience to you!

As much as we 'enjoyed' camping we are buying a caravan for next year, therefore we spent a fortune on camping stuff only to be used twice! lol

yes i have mary that was the first thing i did when i found out we def had the tent lol
we have one of those expensive flocked air beds my mum brought it but never used it so i have it
we only have one lamp but we have a few emergency torch light things so we'll bring those aswell just in case
we dont have a pitch with electric hook up as its our first camp out n we dont have the adapter thing a camp stove is on my list to get tho
i have a 48" crate!! but we have a big ppl carrier so if i can get it in its coming.... both dogs fit in it n mambo sleeps in it anyway (mambo will be the problem if any he escapes at any chance he gets!!) mylos recall is pretty good tho it may lapse from all the excitement i have a tie down steak aswell n our tent has 3 enclosed bedrooms (its huge!! but has to be to fit us all in) so mylo will be sleeping with me like he always does
on the sat when we actually go to the gt wot do we do with our stuff??

To be honest camping is usually pretty safe, we just bring all the valuebles around with us locked in the car - you can leave other stuff like sleeping bags, cooking stuff etc in the tent. If you want the tent to be as secure as you can make it, just lock the zips up. 9 times out of 10 there is usually other campers hanging around anyway so its unlikey things will go missing. Like i said, just keep all your valuebles with you.

lol Nat - we bought a battery operated air pump - and forgot the batteries! There was us getting the kids to ask a friendly looking family asking if we could borrow a pump (yes, they do all the dirty work lol)
