Hi to everyone
I was wondering if anyone could give my parents any information on a problem they are having with their lab.
They have a 10-month-old brown lab.
She has been to puppy classes, is really well trained, and behaves great.
The problem they are having is when they go to the park with her, which is every day; other dogs are attacking her.
They can be small dogs or large dog’s males or females.
The dogs seem to approach her and then for know reason attack her.
We do not seem to understand why this is happening.
She has also cried out just before they have attacked on a few occasions as if she knows this is going to happen.
Does anyone know why this happened?
She is not aggressive at all very calm and well behaved.
Is there anything we can do to stop this happening?
We also do not want her to end up aggressive herself
Any advice would be much appreciated, as it would be a shame to have to stop taking her to parks.
Tracey

Are they actually attacking her or do they want to play?, some dogs can sound quite agrressive in play and occassionally go a little to far and hurt one another, when that happens they usually stop, unless of course one dog is actually being aggressive.
Is your Lab on or off lead when this happens?.
hopefully one of the more experienced owners will be along to try an help, tho it may not be til later today now

My guess is that this is the answer. Some bitches, after spaying will continually have a scent as if in season. Dogs smell this and try to mount. This can get very rough because the poor bitch is NOT in season and does not want to be mounted!
