we have all just discovered that our beloved lab max has bone cancer, it has come as the greatest shock ever to us all. at only 10yrs of age we thought we would have him for much longer than this, none of us can come to terms that we may not have our baby in the weeks or months to come, it is the hardest thing that any of us have ever had to face

So sorry to hear about Max Wendy, its so very hard to know one of our beloeved pets is very ill, has the vet recommended any treatment for Max?

hi everyone and thank you so much for all your lovely messages and letting my family and i know we are not alone in this really sad time. mary you asked what the vet has suggested, amputation isnt an option as max also has a lump in his spleen, i personally think the vet knows max does not have long left and they are just giving us a bit more time to spend with him, he is on codiene phosphate and rimadyl, if these do not help they are going to try a morphine based drug for him. they are trying to make his time more comfortable, everyone is saying i will know when the time comes to let him go i only hope i know before the pain gets too much for him, as much as i dont want to let him go i dont want him being in too much pain either. i cant believe this has happened so quick he only started to limp 5 weeks ago, how cruel life can be, thank you so much everyone for all your lovely wishes they mean so much.
