ok girls, thankyou for your thoughts. I try not to let them play too much together so they don't over bond which eachother lol but that is hard! They follow each other around ALL the time! I think you are right that maybe this is his way of telling her to go away and give him some peace!

Hopefully maybe John W, Molly or Di will see this and shed some light!

So bump! Wink

Hi Sonia

I have to say Penny and Kara are the same. At the beginning Penny ignored her. Then she started to play with her a little. Now they are really rough. Kara generally starts the playing but Penny is more than happy to join in. They get really excited and rough at times and obviously I'm still concerned that Penny can do Kara a lot more damage than Kara can do her. They fly round the garden, under the bench and chase each other under the picnic table. I do get a bit worried at times but if I think they are getting to rough or excited and give them a time out. Kara in her crate and Penny in her bed. Just for a few minutes but it seems to do the trick and they come out quite subdued. That generally lasts for about five or ten minutes Laughing and the whole things starts again.

Penny doesn't really drag Kara about but over the last couple of days she has been putting her paws on her back and trying to flip her over. She has also, once or twice, looked as if she's trying to hump her and I'm assuming that's a dominance thing. I guess they will go through various stages in their playing before they settle down into a really nice relationship. At least, here's hoping.

Loved the video by the way. They are just like Penny and Kara, particularly Gracie getting under the coffee table where she thinks Doobie can't get her!

I notice your original post was about a month ago now. Has their relationship changed any?

Regards
Trina

Embarassed should have updated this, so thanks Trina!

He thankfully stopped doing this not long after I put up this post. They still played rough but Gracie can now hold her own! Now there are three its all different again - Doobs and Gracie play much nicer now while Mille and Doobs do all the rough play with Gracie being the referee! Laughing Its like watching a boxing match - Gracie stays really close just barking at them whilst looking really excited at the same time! Millie and Gracie playing is much more playful so its nice they all take it in turns to play, however rough or gentle it maybe, and no-one feels left out. I must try and video them all playing together - its lovely and I could watch them do it all day! lol Very Happy Very Happy
